Management Team



Obaro Ibru is a member of the board and also the Acting Managing Director. He Joined the management team of aero in October 2010 and previously had held various management positions in Banking, IT/Telecoms and Entertainment sector.He has a passion for customer Intimacy as a strategic selling point for any organization.Obaro has two degrees, one in Economics (with honours) and one in French (with honours) and was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina,Obaro is the founding Chairman of catWALKTHE WORLD – Fashion For Food, a United Nations registered campaign which participates actively in the fight against child hunger globally with The World Food Programme (WFP).
Omoke Enyi is the Chief Finance Officer of Aerocontractors Company of Nigeria Limited. He has a wealth of experience spanning over 24 years in auditing, financial consulting and banking. He joined the company in August 2010 from Millennium Trust Investment Limited where he was Executive Director. Prior to this, Omoke built his career in the Banking sector working with: Standard Trust Bank, Fidelity Bank Plc, and ascended to the position of Regional Director in United Bank for Africa in 2008.   He holds an Msc in International Business and Emerging Markets from University of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom, an MBA (Banking & Finance) from Enugu State University of Science & Technology and a Bsc Business Administration from the University of Lagos. Omoke trained as a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
Lee Foon Russell is a Canadian national and has been head of Flight Operations from April 2011.He joined aerocontractors in 2007 as a Captain and has held various positions such as the fleet Captain of the Bombardier Dash 8 fleet. Prior to aero career he was a Dash 8 Captain at Hawaii Aviation and Tobago Express. He rose to become the Managing Director of Tobago Express before leaving for Hawaii Aviation.He brings his wealth of management and flight operations experience to aero with a view to facilitating and managing change.
Mr Jussi Laurimaa is in charge of restructuring at Aero Contractors. He is a Senior Managing Director at Pittsford Ventures Management. Pittsford Ventures Management was ranked by Preqin as the world’s most consistent venture manager in 2010. A venture capitalist since 1998, Mr Laurimaa has a personal audited investment track record that is some three times the relevant index. Previously, Mr Laurimaa was a Vice President at Paribas Capital Markets’ Global Financial Institutions Group and an Associate at McKinsey & Co. His publications include “The Future of Retail Financial Services – A New Breed of Dinosaur” (Lafferty Publications). He holds graduate degrees in medicine, physics and finance. He is fluent in five languages. Mr Laurimaa was briefly a professional bicycle road racer in late 1980s.
